Safety Procedures

STANDARD SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN DEALING WITH SEASONAL VIRUSES

The GCC leaders are well aware of the concerns of both our members and visitors who attend worship and special assemblies offered at Garfield Christian Church.  Our major concern is to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible as we continue to worship together as family and function as normally as possible.

Due to restrictions being lifted by the CDC regarding the wearing of masks by those who have been fully vaccinated, GCC is now making the wearing of masks OPTIONAL.   Masks will still be provided for those who choose to wear one.  Also, hand sanitizer will still be placed at the Welcome Center, and we urge everyone to use the hand sanitizer and/or thoroughly wash your hands before entering the sanctuary.

There are seating in areas of the sanctuary which provide social distancing, if one wishes to sit away from other people.  We continue to urge you to worship at home if you are experiencing flu like symptoms (i.e. fever, coughing, shortness of breath, body aches, etc.).
It is the elders’ understanding and belief that most every member attending GCC has been vaccinated, and this is just another safety precaution in place.  However, we will not be asking our members  or visitors to submit proof of their vaccination before being allowed to remove their masks; and whether one decides to wear a mask or not is no indication that they have or have not been vaccinated.  So, please be kind to and understanding with one another.
Please be in prayer as the COVID virus as well as the flu and other viruses still pose health concerns.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

God bless you.
