WORDS OF COMFORT ABOUT HEAVEN

Speaker: Fred Sigle

SUNDAY LESSON, 5/26/24

WORDS OF COMFORT ABOUT HEAVEN
John 14:1-4

Last Sunday we studied the words of terror spoken by the rich man in the Place of Torment (Hell) in Jesus’ parable, The Rich Man and Lazarus, in Luke 16:19-31.  The purpose of that lesson was to remind us as followers of Christ that there are people we know (loved ones and friends) who are “lost without Jesus” and will utter similar words of terror, unless we share with them saving message of Jesus.
This Sunday we will be studying the COMFORTING WORDS that Jesus says about preparing a place for His followers (you and me and all who submit their lives to Him) in heaven.   Every faithful follower of Christ has a place prepared especially for him or her in the Father’s House.  As the song says, I can only imagine what our home in heaven will be like.  We have loved ones and friends already there waiting for us to join them there one day.  And what a HOMECOMING it will be!!
Come join us Sunday as we listen to WORDS OF COMFORT ABOUT HEAVEN.
JOHN 14:1-4
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
