WHAT A FATHER WE HAVE

Speaker: Fred Sigle

SUNDAY LESSON, 6/19/22

WHAT A FATHER WE HAVE
Romans 8:14-16 and Ephesians 1:3-6

Although we are in the middle of a sermon series, I am putting it on hold for the next two Sundays for Father’s Day and our 100th Anniversary Celebration.  We will pick up the series PREPARE FOR WAR on July 3rd as we study “THE BELT OF TRUTH”.
Although many will be celebrating their Dads this coming Sunday, my lesson will be focusing on God as our “Abba Father” and what that means to you and me.   God allowed His Son to die upon a cross so that He can adopt us into His family.  We are deeply loved by God and have a special relationship with Him through Jesus as our Abba Father.
Come join us Sunday as we delve into these Scriptures and more to remind us WHAT A FATHER WE HAVE!
ROMANS 8:14-16
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,[b] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
EPHESIANS 1:3-6
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he[a] predestined us for adoption to sonship[b] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
