GOD WITH US BRINGS LOVE

CHRISTMAS SERMON SERIES
12/22/24

GOD WITH US BRINGS LOVE
John 3:16; 1 John 4:7-12

This Sunday will conclude our Christmas Sermon Series: GOD WITH US.
We began this series with the angel Gabriel telling Joseph that Mary, his betrothed, was, indeed, carrying God’s Son, as Isaiah prophesied, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel”—which means, ‘God with us’ (Matthew 1:23).
Over the past few we delved into Scripture to learn what “God with us” means to not only the Jews in the first century, but to all the world.  We have studied how “God with us” brings HOPE, JOY, PEACE, and this Sunday we will add, LOVE.
Come join us Sunday as we conclude this series, and then come to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service starting at 6:00 as Youth Pastor Ben Noll lights the last Advent candle representing the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ.
JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1 JOHN 4:7-12
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
