CHRISTIAN BENEFITS: ALL THINGS WORK FOR OUR GOOD
Romans 8:28-30
Continuing our study on the CHRISTIAN BENEFITS that Paul lists in Romans 8. This Sunday we will be studying the familiar verse that states “that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Knowing that God is at work for our good is a wonderful promise, until you are faced with a tragedy that turns your world upside down. That’s when you begin to question, “What possible good can come from this?” I have asked that question before, and I’m sure you have, too. So, what does Paul mean by such an all-encompassing statement that “in all things” God is working for our good?
ROMANS 8:28-30
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
