SUNDAY LESSON, 9/28/25
GOD’S SOLUTIONS TO LIFE’S STRUGGLES: TEMPTATION
James 1:13-15
This Sunday will be the conclusion of the sermon series: GOD’S SOLUTIONS TO LIFE’S STRUGGLES as we study about TEMPTATION.
No one is immune from being tempted, regardless of how spiritual that person might. James, as a warning to be our guard, presents the four-step process of temptation that Satan uses to not only cause us to sin but to destroy us. However, Paul stresses that along with temptation God will never allow us to be tempted beyond what we can endure and will always provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Come join us Sunday as we study what James says about temptation and how we can win over temptation when Satan tries to bring us down.
JAMES 1:13-15
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
