CHRIST’S CHOSEN: JUDAS ISCARIOT
John 12:3-9, 13:2, 21-27; Matthew 26:47-50, 27:1-10
This Sunday will be the conclusion of our summer sermon series CHRIST’S CHOSEN, as we study the last of the apostles, JUDAS ISCARIOT.
There is a lot debate among theologians as to the reason behind Judas’ betrayal of Jesus. Was it greed? Was it political? Was it position? Was it power? Whatever it was, Judas had a choice to give into Satan’s temptations or to walk away—he chose the former.
Although we may not fully understand the motive behind the betrayal, we do know that God used Judas’ choice to betray Jesus as the means to fulfill His plan to send Jesus to this earth to give His life for the sins of mankind.
