HOW TO RELATE TO THOSE WHO HURT YOU

Speaker: Fred Sigle

SUNDAY LESSON, 8/25/24

HOW TO RELATE TO THOSE WHO HURT YOU
Romans 12:17-21

We have all been hurt by somebody either intentionally or unintentionallya family member, a co-worker, a friend, a fellow-Christian.
When hurt by another, we have a decision to make: Either we hurt back by giving the person what he or she deserves, or we can attempt to heal the hurt by giving the person what is needed.
Come join us Sunday as we learn some practical actions from the apostle Paul as to how we are to relate to those who hurt us.
ROMANS 12:17-21

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
    if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[b]

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
