“I AM . . . THE GATE FOR THE SHEEP“
John 10:7-10
Continuing the sermon series on the “I AM” statements of Jesus recorded in John’s gospel, this Sunday we will study the statement of Jesus: “I AM THE GATE FOR THE SHEEP”.
Jesus came to bring us life . . . abundant life! Following Him requires that we choose His path and walk in His ways instead of our own. God created us to experience a life of fulfillment and promise in His kingdom, and Jesus is the only entrance into the kingdom of God. There will be those who will try to lead us away from God, but if we enter the gate through Christ we will enjoy eternal salvation, safety and satisfaction.
Come join us Sunday as we delve more deeply into the statement of Jesus: “I am the gate for the sheep.”
JOHN 10:7-10
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
