"TOMORROW I WILL..."

Speaker: Fred Sigle

SUNDAY LESSON, 3/5/23
“TOMORROW I WILL….”
James 4:13-17

“TOMORROW I WILL….”

Fill in the blank: “Tomorrow I will give my life to Christ.”  “Tomorrow I will talk to my neighbor about Jesus.”   “Tomorrow I will start reading my Bible.”  “Tomorrow I will tell my husband/wife that I’m sorry.”   “Tomorrow I will make some time to be with our son/daughter.”  “TOMORROW I WILL….”
James is addressing Christian businessmen who tend to think that they have control of what tomorrow will bring.  In addressing the issue about “tomorrow”, however, James is not teaching against making future plans but about the importance of putting God into your plans.  We have no control of what tomorrow will bring, or even if there will be a “tomorrow”.  We are only have the “here and now”.
“If the Lord is willing”, come join us Sunday as we delve deeper into what James says about “TOMORROW”.
JAMES 4:13-17
13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
