SUNDAY LESSON, 11/20/22
ENTER WITH THANKSGIVING
Psalm 100
Although over the years I have referred to Psalm 100 on many occasions during previous Thanksgiving sermons, I have never presented an expository lesson on this Psalm; and I have learned so much.
So, this coming Sunday we will take a deeper look at this Psalm of Thanksgiving from the standpoint of the imperative statements (Shout. Worship. Come. Know. Enter.) made throughout this Psalm to not only the people of Israel, but to us as it relates to our thanksgiving and praise to God for His love, goodness, and faithfulness.
PSALM 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
