I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE
Genesis 29
This Sunday is Valentine’s Day. So, I thought I would present a lesson about love that I have entitled: “I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE.” (I promise that we will not be playing Meatloaf’s love anthem on Sunday morning.) 
I chose this title because it describes the obsessive love that Leah had for Jacob as recorded in Genesis 29. She would do anything for Jacob to return the love that she had for him. She looked to Jacob to find fulfillment in her life, but instead her obsession for this man only brought misery. Her love for Jacob became an object of worship that replaced her love and devotion to God. But by the end of the chapter, she found her true love.
