CHRIST’S CHOSEN: SIMON PETER
Selected passages from the Gospels and Acts

This week we will begin to take a closer look at each of CHRIST’S CHOSEN beginning with the main spokesman and leader of the apostles, SIMON PETER.
Simon Peter’s name always appears first among all the apostles (Matthew 10:2; Mark 3:16; Luke 6:14 and Acts 1:13).  Matthew even refers to him as the “first” among the twelve apostles.  He was also part of Jesus’ inner-circle, along with James and John.
Even though Peter was the leader of the apostles and one of Jesus’ closest friends, he certainly had many flaws.  In fact, Peter even tells Jesus that He shouldn’t have anything to do with him because of his sinful life (Luke 5:8).   But despite his flaws, failures and faults, Jesus not only chose Simon Peter to be an apostle but stuck by him even when he openly disowned Jesus as his Lord.
Come join us Sunday as we take a whirlwind look at the life and ministry of SIMON PETER. .
