SUNDAY LESSON, 4/6/25
FROM GETHSEMANE TO GOLGOTHA: JESUS’ LAST HOURS
Matthew 26:36-27:56
Easter is just around the corner. So, for the next three Sundays our focus will be on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Sunday we will be studying from Matthew’s gospel the last few hours of Jesus’ life from the Garden of Gethsemane to Golgotha, “the place of the skull”.

Can you imagine what those last hours must have been like for Jesus knowing that soon He will be arrested, tried, tortured and crucified for nothing He did wrong? I know what it is like to be accused of something that I didn’t do, and it’s frustrating trying to convince others that you are innocent. But Jesus is not only accused, He is punished and executed for wrongs that you and I and the entire world have committed. “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree…” (1 Peter 2:24a). And even though He could have stopped it, He willingly went to the cross so that we can live.
Come join us Sunday as we walk with Jesus during the last hours of His life FROM GETHSEMANE TO GOLGOTHA.
